From 1999 to 2002, Georges has deployed the Technology and Security Risk Services of Ernst & Young in Brussels. The team, that tripled to more than 20 consultants, performs Information Systems Audit and Security assignments. Georges developed new services, introduced them on the Belgian market and managed related assignments: intrusion testing and vulnerability studies, re-organization of IT departments, mega-projects risk management for software development, forensic services, ethical hacking courses for security professionals, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) services and technology assurance. Within Ernst & Young, Georges launched Technology Assurance services for Webtrust, Systrust, and Sas70 certification in line with the specifications of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
Georges gained his spurs as Deputy Chief Information Officer for ITT World Directories from 1990 to 1996. Worldwide co-ordination of Information Systems activities of the ITT World Directories group comprising 9 countries, with a turnover of $1 billion in 1996. He reported to the VP-operations of the group and directed the local information systems departments. His job included the definition of global strategy, approval of new investment projects and control of support to operations and to business development. Georges participated as a full member of the Global Telecommunication Steering Group of the ITT Corporation whose turnover was $22 million in 1996.
He joined the worldwide audit team of ITT Corporation in 1988 as Senior Information Systems Auditor. For two years before that, Georges acted as an Accounts Manager for an American software company (Pansophic Systems) specialized in the automation and control of software development and computer operations.
Georges started his career in 1981 by joining Systems Europe, an affiliate to BP-SCICON, as development project manager. For four years, he managed software development mega-projets for the Saudi Telecom administration, on behalf of Bell Canada and Deutsche Bundespost.
